I’ve had a long career in the forest products industry. I originally started in plywood in production – working on the green chain, feeding dryers with veneer, forklift driving. Then I moved into the lumber side in Kelowna, pulling lumber on the dry chain and other various production jobs. From there I was hired as management in the shipping department. My daily duties include getting sales orders, creating cutting orders for the planer and getting orders ready to ship. Tolko offers diverse jobs and careers. They offer training, development and apprenticeship programs. They offer good wages.

I have 2 very active kids who play sports. Tolko allows me to take time off to take them to their games and tournaments. Tolko supports my kids’ sport by helping with a donation to the team. I am also a director for Kelowna Minor Fastball and the team manager for my girls’ ball team. This all comes from my love of helping kids with their sports.
