Journeys start with the conscious choice to change.
This year Canada is celebrating its first ever gender equality week from September 23 – 29, 2018 and Canfor, West Fraser, Tolko and Resolute are joining together to drive the conversation forward.
In conjunction with the federal government’s initiative, we are showcasing women across our industry. Women are actively changing the face of
forestry, working as maintenance supervisors, engineers, tradespeople and more.
We know there is still a lot of work to be done by our companies to improve gender equality, and we are united in our commitment to do more.
During the week we will feature stories of women and how working in forestry enhances their lives. Career progression, mentorship and work-life
balance are the foundations for our companies to build truly diverse and inclusive workplaces.
